Meet Buzz & Brandi
HOWELLS Pet Xpress is a family‑owned business based in Richfield, Utah. Founded by Buzz and Brandi Howell, our mission is to provide humane, reliable and affordable transport for pets across the country. As lifelong animal lovers, we understand the trust you place in us when you hand over your companion. We treat every pet as if they were our own.
Buzz grew up around livestock and has been driving long haul routes for over 20 years. Brandi is a veterinary assistant with a passion for exotic animals. Together, they have built a service that prioritises comfort, safety and communication.
Humane Handling
We follow USDA guidelines for animal welfare and go beyond the minimum requirements. Drivers are trained to recognise signs of stress and fatigue and are empowered to stop and take breaks as needed. Crates are secured and padded; climate control and ventilation are constantly monitored.
Rest Stop Cadence
On shared routes, we schedule rest stops every three to four hours. Dogs are walked on leash and offered water; cats and exotics remain safely in the vehicle with fresh water and temperature checks. Overnight, pets sleep comfortably in their crates inside the vehicle at a secure location.
Our Fleet
Our vehicles are custom‑outfitted cargo vans and SUVs equipped with tie‑downs, temperature sensors and cameras. Each van is cleaned and sanitised between trips. We carry spare crates, leashes and cleaning supplies at all times.
