Transport Agreement
This agreement outlines the terms and conditions of pet transport provided by HOWELLS Pet Xpress. By booking our services you acknowledge and agree to the following:
General Terms
- HOWELLS Pet Xpress is a USDA‑licensed carrier (Licence #: USDA #XXXX) fully insured for pet transport.
- All animals must be accompanied by a current health certificate and vaccination records.
- The owner is responsible for obtaining any required permits for exotic species and will provide copies to the carrier.
- Animals will be housed in appropriate crates or enclosures during transport. Shared transports may include animals from multiple families.
- Rest stops are scheduled every 3–4 hours. Pets will not be let off leash outside of secure areas. Exotic pets remain in their enclosures at all times.
- We will make reasonable efforts to adhere to the agreed pickup and delivery windows; however, delays may occur due to weather, traffic, vehicle issues or other circumstances beyond our control.
- Owners must provide accurate pickup and delivery addresses and notify us of any special access considerations (e.g., gate codes, stairs).
- We reserve the right to refuse service to aggressive animals or those showing signs of contagious illness.
Liability
- HOWELLS Pet Xpress exercises due care to ensure the safety and comfort of your pet. In the unlikely event of accident, illness or injury, we will seek veterinary care at the owner’s expense.
- We are not responsible for loss or damage to personal items left with your pet (blankets, toys, leashes, etc.).
- In no event shall we be liable for indirect or consequential damages.
Payments & Cancellations
- A non‑refundable deposit of 20% is due upon booking. The balance is payable upon delivery.
- Cancellations made at least 72 hours prior to pickup will receive a full refund of the deposit. Cancellations within 72 hours forfeit the deposit.
- If we must cancel or reschedule due to safety concerns (e.g., extreme weather), your deposit will be fully refunded or applied to a future booking.
Photo Consent
With your consent, we may take photos of your pet during transport for the purposes of providing updates and marketing. You retain all rights to request that photos be removed from our promotional materials.
