Preparation Guides
To ensure a smooth journey for your pet, please follow the guidelines appropriate to your animal. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out.
Dogs & Cats
- Provide a properly sized crate that allows your pet to stand, turn around and lie down.
- Attach a copy of current vaccination records and a health certificate dated within 10 days of travel.
- Label your crate with your name, contact number and your pet’s name.
- Include a favourite blanket or toy (no rawhide bones or chew toys that can break apart).
- Feed a light meal 3–4 hours prior to pickup; do not overfeed to avoid motion sickness.
- Provide any medications in clearly labeled containers with dosing instructions.
Exotics
- Supply an escape‑proof enclosure with secure lids and ventilation appropriate to the species.
- Include heat or cooling packs as needed; our vehicles maintain climate control but species‑specific temps are helpful.
- Ensure water sources that will not spill during transit (e.g., gel packs, moistened sponges).
- Attach copies of CITES permits or state transport permits if required; original documents remain with you.
- Identify feeding schedule and dietary restrictions; most exotics will not be fed during transport unless absolutely necessary.
- Label enclosures with common and scientific names.
